RAVE-O is an extensively researched, evidence-based program that is designed to build and connect expanded foundational skills to fluency and deep reading comprehension. This multicomponential approach (POSSUM Approach) combines phonics and phoneme awareness with oral language processes and connects these expanded foundational skills to stories using the same words. Its emphases on combining Science and Story utilizes the expertise of multiple teachers, as it expands their knowledge of the reading brain. The program has over a decade of evidence through NICHD-funded RCT studies.

The program serves as a strong dyslexia tutoring program where tutors can be trained and have access to an entire curriculum.

The program extends RAVE-O lessons through a diverse range of books that tie to each Module within RAVE-O. These books were carefully selected by RAVE-O and Bookelicious for decodability, reading level, and individual student interest.
